What do you get when you cross Hollywood Glam with the inherent wow factor that’s a staple in bridal design? You find yourself surrounded in sumptuous silks and body hugging silhouettes that pays homage to an era in fashion that is literally the benchmark in style. Olivia Hwang is one of three bridal designers who presented at the Fashion Incubators event at Macy’s Herald Square last month. And I had a chance to chat with her, preview her Spring 2014 designs and learn more about the inspiration behind them.

The Seoul, Korea native turned Chicago designer came of age in the industry through her family’s lingerie business and has literally worked for some of the strongest fashion houses in the business – Zac Posen and Natori to name a few. Now with her own bridal line, Olivia Hwang is unveiling her Spring 2014 collection which specifically centers around the concepts of Old Hollywood and convertible separate pieces (skirts, trains & bolero jackets) that can be combined in numerous ways to create completely unique looks.

Featured above are three new styles from her collection as well as a specialty designed black and white silk/lace bolero-train combination which was especially created for her Monet inspired collection in 2013.
